Passports are printed in Australia and subject to a minimum of 6 weeks processing time from payment, so planning well ahead is important. Incomplete applications will cause delays.
Australian passports applications must be lodged in person and appointments must be made. The Australian Consulate General only allows entry to clients with appointments. We will only see you in exceptional circumstances without an appointment.
Children under 16 years do not need to attend interviews.
Children aged 16 & 17 are required to attend the appointment along with a guardian.

Report the loss or theft by calling the Australian Passport Office on 131 232 Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm (for each Australian time zone). The office is closed on Australian national public holidays. Seek more information on the Australian Passports Office website.
